The big names in England write to UEFA: “City should not be admitted to the Champions League”

LONDON (ENGLAND) – All against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. The most successful Premier League teams do not want Manchester City to participate in the next Champions League.

In this regard, 10 English clubs (excluding Sheffield United), as published in the Daily Mail, have written to the Arbitral Tribunal for Sports, asking them not to admit the 'citizens' to the next edition of the UEFA tournament.

The basis for this decision was the postponement of the examination of the Manchester City appeal by the Lausanne organization due to the coronavirus emergency.

Manchester City has been excluded from upcoming editions of the European cups for breaking the rules of financial fair play.

Pep Guardiola took the field against the coronavirus by donating one million euros.

Pep Guardiola donated one million euros to Fundació Àngel Soler Daniel, a foundation managed by the Collegi de Metges of Barcelona and which deals with the purchase and supply of medical equipment during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The offer by the Manchester City technician will be directed to the purchase of protective elements – such as masks, glasses, latex gloves, disinfectants – and respirators, in addition to other items necessary to face Covid-19. The whole material will be distributed throughout the Catalan territory.

The fundraising campaign, promoted by the Col·legi de Metges in Barcelona (COMB), started on March 21 and had raised 33,000 euros so far.

In addition to the purchase of material, the campaign also finances the alternative production – through 3D printing – of artificial respirators and other protective elements for health personnel. (source ANSA).
