LONDON (ENGLAND) – Except for second thoughts, or transfer market lies, the Giroud dream for Lazio fans seems to have vanished definitively. At least according to what Frank Lampard, his Chelsea manager said. Lampard's statements are reported by the Corriere dello Sport.
Lazio transfer market, Lampard says no to the sale of Giroud: "And so Mertens doesn't come …".
“During this time he has always trained well, behaving like a professional and an incredible man. And I can say that it doesn't leave. So I can say with certainty that not even Dries Mertens will come because in attack, with the permanence of Giroud, we are doing well … ".
This morning, Tare had reached London to convince the French footballer and Chelsea. The Albanian DS is still in London, hoping for an agreement by 8 pm, but the situation has become terribly complicated because Lampard would have vetoed his transfer.
Giroud does not own Chelsea but is still an excellent alternative to Abraham and for this reason Lampard does not want to sell him. Also because Chelsea don't have the time to find an alternative to the Frenchman.
Tare hoped to take him because he offered Giroud a rich 2.5 euro contract per season for the next three and a half years. The footballer had not yet provided an answer because he was arguing with his wife that he had no intention of leaving London.
