Ivan Zaytsev returns to Russia: he does not accept the 50% cut in Modena. Here is the salary he will receive

KEMEROVA (RUSSIA) – Ivan Zaytsev has decided to leave Italy because he has not accepted the cut of 50% of his salary proposed by Modena.

Zaytsev will return to play in Russia and will wear the Kemerova shirt that will guarantee him a salary of 500 thousand euros.

His is not a definitive farewell to Modena but only a transfer on loan.

Next season, the "Tsar" should return to Emilia Romagna to honor his contract which expires in 2023.

Zaytsev is one of the pillars of the Italian Volleyball national team.

With the blues he won the Mediterranean Games , the Memorial Hubert Wagner and collected a large number of silver and bronze medals.

As for the Olympic Games, the Tsar won the silver medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and the bronze medal in London in 2012.

At the European championships, he won two silver medals ( Austria and the Czech Republic in 2011 and Denmark and Poland in 2013) and a bronze one ( Bulgaria and Italy in 2015).

In the World League he won two bronze medals ( Mar del Plata in 2013 and Florence in 2014).

In the World Cup he won a silver medal in Japan in 2015.

To finish his career with the national team, he won a bronze medal in the Grand Champions Cup in Japan in 2013.
