Coronavirus, Romano Perticone is auctioning Davide Astori’s shirt for charity

PADUA – Romano Perticone , footballer of the Cittadella with a past in Serie A, auctioned the shirt of his friend Davide Astori to raise funds for the White cross of Melzo.

Here is the announcement posted on Instagram by Romano Perticone. The shirt in question is the one worn by Davide Astori in an old Empoli-Rome.

Perticone played with Empoli and the two players exchanged shirts at the end of the game.

“As you know, I am raising funds for the White Cross of my country (Melzo).

I felt the duty to do it practically as soon as this emergency broke out, then as often happens when one engages in something the most disparate ideas come to mind.

This morning I thought that Davide would do exactly like me, he would try to help his community.

So I thought of a way so that he could help his Bergamo even now that he is no longer there.

I remembered giving away his Roma shirt (exchanged at the end of Empoli-Roma) to a friend, who immediately made it available, I spoke this morning with his parents who told me they were happy with this initiative.

So here we are, this shirt (together with a Captain's armband) will be auctioned on ebay from 18 today with the collaboration of Live Onlus and the proceeds will be entirely donated to the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital.
