LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND) – Daniel Sturridge is in big trouble and risks a long stop. As Sport Mediaset writes in its online edition, the FA, the English Football Federation, has opened an investigation into Liverpool's attacker for an alleged betting round and the British press reveals the first details of what appears to be a very serious case .
The regulation of English football prohibits players not only from betting but also from providing confidential information to family members and friends who can be used to place bets.
According to the Sun, a cousin of the player would have bet 10,000 pounds on his transfer to Inter, while another family member would have bet another considerable amount on the transfer of the attacker to West Bromwich, a bargain then went to port.
