Churchill Owaci, flop performance after good night: his teammates beat him to death

Absurd in Uganda, Churchill Owaci beaten to death by his teammates because he played badly following a good night.

Madness in Uganda where footballer Churchill Owaci is beaten to death by teammates following a flop performance after a good night.

Owaci is not the first footballer to be killed for playing badly.

It happened to Andres Escobar after eliminating Colombia from the 1994 World Cup with an own goal and it also happened to Owaci in a much less important match.

The reality is that the teammates had already promised them to Owaci because they couldn't stand him for his life. Deemed unprofessional, off the pitch.

So after a bad defeat, with Owaci among the worst in the field, they literally attacked him in the locker room until killing him.

And so accused of murder Joel Okello and Francis Opio.

According to the first reconstructions, they would have been the two players who would have raged with greater violence on Owaci.

According to what Fanpage writes citing Fox Sports, Okello and Opio would be detained at the Lamwo central police season, pending further investigation into this absurd affair (article sources, Fox Sports and Fanpage).
