Tennis, Karen Khachanov triumphs in Paris: Novak Djokovic ko surprise (Ansa)
PARIS (France) – Russian Karen Khachanov surprisingly won the Paris-Bercy tournament – last Masters 1000 that closed the "regular season" of the men's circuit – beating the final Novak Djokovic with a score of 7-5 6-4 in an hour and 37 minutes of game.
For the 22 year old Russian, number 18 of the ATP, it is the first victory in a Masters 1000. Djokovic – who yesterday beaten Roger Federer in the semifinals – from tomorrow will still be the new number one in the Atp ranking.
