ROME – Gyms, dance centers and sports centers in general could reopen from May 18th.
This was announced by sports minister Spadafora during the television broadcast "Mi manda Raitre".
"We will propose to the Technical Scientific Committee by the beginning of next week, because we are finalizing the guidelines for the possible reopening of gyms, dance centers and various sports centers right in these hours".
And "as soon as the Technical Scientific Committee were to validate them, I would like to be able to insert them already in the next Dpcm which will start from May 18th".
The sports minister's statements came shortly after those issued by the president of the FIGC Gravina.
“I can assure you of one thing, as long as I am president of the FIGC, I will never sign the definitive closure of the championship.
If I signed the championship stop, I would kill the world of Italian football.
Obviously I don't want this, I don't want to destroy the system I'm part of.
If the championship does not restart, the system would lose 800 million euros.
If we were to leave behind closed doors, as we all hope, we would lose "only" € 300 million.
These are things that need to be considered.
The total stop of the championship could force some clubs not to register for the next championships or the next European cups ”(source AGI).
