LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND) – Roma take the field in support of Sean Cox, the Liverpool fan was seriously injured during the clashes outside the stadium of Anfield Road last season during the first leg of the Champions League. The Giallorossi club and president James Pallotta have announced the donation of an initial sum of 150 thousand euros to the Cox family, to support the rehabilitative care of the 53 year-old Irish father of three children who entered a coma after the incidents last April.

Today's announcement – explains Rome with a note – follows the visit of some club leaders in Ireland, where they met Martina, Sean's wife, and some representatives of the family who are helping her to raise funds for the care. In addition to this initial donation, Rome has given its willingness to work alongside the Cox family for further fundraising initiatives that will contribute to supporting the costs of care.
