Rai, Antonio Di Gennaro and the gaffe during Tottenham-Inter: "Squadraccia was reported …"
ROME – RAI's offensive during the Tottenham-Inter interval that saw Antonio Di Gennaro protagonist has been much discussed. Believing not to be on the air, the former footballer and now commentator, has been pinched by the cameras while, talking to the meeting commentator, he says: "It's a squad".
Many Inter fans have interpreted it as a derogatory term against the Nerazzurri formation by attacking hard Di Gennaro who, in the evening, immediately tried to explain himself.
In fact, through his Facebook and Twitter profiles, Di Gennaro released a post in which he writes: "In relation to the out-wave: 'Squadraccia', it was not related to Inter but to a specific question that my colleague had asked me, before to rejoin the connection, on the team of my former coach Terim (Galatasaray), still defeated in Russia. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I would never allow myself! Especially for the many Inter fans ".
