Napoli returns to victory, 2-0 at Sassuolo with goals from Hysaj and Allan

Napoli returns to victory against Sassuolo and moves within two points of the fifth place in the standings occupied by Roma.

Napoli beats Sassuolo at the end of a match full of emotions and goes within two points of fifth place occupied by Roma. In fact, Napoli has 59 points against Milan's 60 and Roma's 61.

The team coached by Gattuso won the game thanks to goals scored by Hysaj, in the first part of the game, and by Allan, in injury time.

The Albanian full-back went to the edge of the Sassuolo penalty area and beat Consiglio with an impregnable low shot. The Brazilian, on the other hand, scored from a counterattack on Mertens' assist.

Sassuolo played the usual good game and proved to be the best among the teams not qualified for the European cups. The neroverdi have come close to equalizing on several occasions.

In fact, in the ninety minutes of play, the referee canceled four goals against Sassuolo for offside. Two goals were disallowed to Djuricic in the first half, while one goal was disallowed from Ciccio Caputo in the second half. Finally, a goal was also canceled to Berardi for an offside position by Caputo.

As mentioned, this victory brings Napoli one step away from fifth place in the standings but in any case the Campania players are already qualified for the Europa League thanks to the triumph in the Italian Cup.

By winning the Champions League, Napoli would qualify for the top European club competition. But to do that, Gattuso's team has to go through against Barcelona. The first leg, held in Naples, ended on the result of one to one.
