Mauro Lovisa (president of Pordenone Calcio): “I have the coronavirus, I am struggling but I am still not healed”

PORDENONE – Case of coronavirus in Serie B. Mauro Lovisa , president of Pordenone Calcio, was infected with the coronavirus.

Lovisa is fighting against the disease but has not yet managed to heal. He clarifies this himself through this letter published on the official website of Pordenone Calcio .

"Given the wave of messages of these hours after the spread of the news of my positivity at Covid-19, I want to intervene officially.

First of all to thank all those who have taken an interest in my health with a text message or a phone call. Sign of affection and closeness , which are feelings never taken for granted.

From this channel I reply to everyone: yes, I am also fighting against this cursed virus , now I am better but I am not yet cured , as instead erroneously reported today in a newspaper like other reconstructions without any foundation.

Next week I will undergo a new swab , with the hope of definitively closing this unpleasant period.

A "personal" period that I wanted to keep for myself, but unfortunately it wasn't. Silence and confidentiality in the face of these events should always prevail, beyond what a person is known.

I spent, like so many, weeks not happy but with bearable ailments, of isolation in the house following all medical prescriptions, primarily to protect the health of my family . Nothing compared to who has been far worse than me.

Right now my thoughts go to those who have lost a loved one, to those who are suffering and to those who are fighting on the front lines:

doctors, nurses and volunteers . They are our greatest defenders . And they will always be thanked.

I take this opportunity to wish all Easter greetings to everyone , especially our fans.

Best wishes that these days, thanks to technology, I managed to make a videoconference to the boys of our Youth Sector .

It was nice and exciting to listen to them and hear their experiences. Health, family and young people will be the cornerstones of the restart, which will also involve our beloved ball ".

See you soon,

president Mauro Lovisa ".
