Lecce-Pescara, clashes between ultras: two seriously injured, bus on fire and closed freeway
LECCE – Clashes between ultras before the Serie B match between Lecce and Pescara. Two fans were seriously injured and were admitted in red code to the Vito Fazzi hospital in Lecce. The two supporters came into contact near the junction for Squinzano, on the Brindisi-Lecce highway. Shortly after, the highway was closed and in the place of the clashes, the police arrived and the ambulances that transported the two fans seriously injured to the Vito Fazzi hospital in Lecce and brought first aid to the other fans who remained bruised.

As previously written, the clashes took place at the junction for Squinzano. Everything would have started when the Lecce fans launched a smoke bomb against the Pescara bus that would have caught fire. The bus fire led to the closure of the highway. On the spot, in addition to the emergency vehicles, the following police forces arrived: the Lecce and Brindisi police, the Carabinieri and the Guarda di Finanza.
Thanks to the intervention of the police, the other fans were able to reach the stadium by bus. There is no good blood between the two fans. Also the first leg was characterized by clashes with the ambush of the Pescara fans to those of Lecce at the height of Francavilla.
