TURIN – Cristiano Ronaldo puts his brand on an eyewear line and does it with Lapo Elkann . Italia Independent and the champion brand have signed an exclusive global agreement lasting five years to create eyewear collections under the CR7 brand. The first, inspired and designed for the champion, will be presented on the occasion of Mido 2020, the largest exhibition in the sector, starting in Milan in late February.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Lapo Elkann, this is when their line of glasses will be available on the market.

The collection will then be available on the market in opticians in the main countries of the world and on the best e-commerce platforms starting from next spring / summer. Together with the eyewear company of the brother of the president of the Juventus club Ronaldo, he widens the offer with his logo to glasses. The vast audience of its fans, well beyond Juve's shirts, can already buy, thanks to agreements with other companies, products ranging from underwear to footwear.

And it's easy to guess new spaces to dress fans from head to toe. “I've always been passionate about glasses and I've always wanted to have my own line. I am really excited to collaborate with Italia Independent on this project.

I am very attentive to detail and I have always worked hard to achieve perfection in everything I do – commented Ronaldo -. We have worked together over the past year on design and the creative process and it is amazing how we shared the same attitude and attention to detail. I can't wait for everyone to see the collection! ”.

"Today for me and for all of Italy Independent is a day to remember: having obtained the CR7 eyewear license is an extraordinarily important step in our growth path", underlined Lapo Elkann who is the founder and creative director of the company, as well as shareholder of control that had to cover losses.

"Thanks to this agreement, we will also be able to further develop our distribution channels in the major world markets by leveraging both traditional networks and the enormous potential of the digital market, also considering the strength of the fan base that Cristiano boasts all over the world", observed Marco Cordeddu, the managing director called last October to relaunch Italia Independent.
