Conor McGregor will return to fight on Sunday 24 January at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), one year after his last appearance in the ring. The 32-year-old Irishman will face the American Dustin Poirier in what will be the main event of UFC 257, the event organized by the most important league in the world of this discipline. It will be a revenge of the contest that took place 7 years ago and in which it was McGregor who imposed himself.

How much money will Conor McGregor earn for the match against Dustin Poirier?

The British media speak of a grant for Conor McGregor of 5 million dollars (about 4.11 million euros), to which is added a part of the proceeds from pay-per-view: there is talk of a possible total net gain of about 20 million dollars (approximately 16.44 million euros). Significant figures that confirm the caricature of the Irishman, already in the top-20 of the highest paid sportsmen in the last year according to Forbes with 48 million dollars (about 39.47 million euros). For Poirier we are talking about 1 million dollars (about 822,000 euros), plus some proceeds not better specified by the PPV.
