LONDON (ENGLAND) – Chelsea go back to spending. As Ansa writes, after the end of the market freeze, Frank Lampard gets the first reinforcements: Roman Abramovich's London club has in fact announced that it has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of the 26 year old Moroccan offensive midfielder Hakim Ziyech .
The set price is 40 million euros, which will rise to 44 with performance bonuses, and Ziyech will remain at Ajax until the end of the season, in an attempt to win the championship with the Dutch team.
Now Ziyech has found serenity and is one of the strongest footballers in the world but after his father's death from multiple sclerosis he has lived through terrible days. The declarations made by Ziyech to De Volkskrant and Algemeen Dagblad are reported by ilposticipo.it:
“The disease destroyed him, my father could do fewer and fewer things. He could no longer walk, eat, speak. Previously he had had a heart attack. In his life he worked a lot and smoked equally. It was December 2003, Christmas had just passed.
My father was in bed in the living room, he had been sick for some time, I fell asleep next to him and around midnight I woke up and went upstairs to my room. A few hours later, around three o'clock, I heard my family members cry in the living room. I went downstairs and saw that my father was dead. I never went to school, football no longer mattered to me. I was gone.
Hakim was rescued by Aziz Doufikar , a former footballer who trained him until his arrival at Ajax: “After the death of his father, Hakim went off the rails. He drank, smoked and used drugs. I helped him. I was his coach, his mentor and his father. He was afraid to show up on the pitch, I let him play and I saw him grow. With a little luck Hakim did it. "
