ROME – Verona , the other night in Piazza Bra and in the center and in the streets and in the clubs a cheerful and amused song: "We are a fantastic team, made up of a swastika … ". This was the refrain, in tune with several voices, all rejoicing.
Not all the voices knew and therefore followed the second strop of the refrain: "How nice it is, trains Rudolf Hess …". Someone in the crowd who was this Hess didn't know. But who cares, "we are a fantastic team made in the shape of a swastika" it was clear and none of the joyful people found anything wrong. In the unlikely event, this someone was careful to shut up .
And so Verona city has seen and felt in silence the supporters of Hellas Verona football to celebrate the promotion in Serie A with the song to the swastika. Fans? Someone will say: not everyone. If not all, not everyone. Many yes, however, and how many. Someone else will say: goliardia. Goliardia, and what does it mean? It means that you have to let it go, after all it was a party and there were a lot of beers in your body, a swastika can escape, and will it ever be?
Escape, miss a one-off just not. For years and years, the organized support of Verona Hellas has been publicly and proudly gathered under signs, songs and bent heads that are explicitly neo-Nazi . In fact the ultras (or militants or comrades, what the exact definition, as they prefer to be called?) Of Verona Hellas despite representing a small city have long earned a position on the podium.
On the podium of the neo-Nazi organized supporter precisely. There are those of Inter, those of Lazio and those of Verona Hellas (the ranking makes the news, the images make it, the judicial stories and the Digos reports do it ). So they were missing in Serie A, they were the only ones missing for a full political and social representativeness of what are the Black Curves of Italian stadiums.
The Verona article : "We are a fantastic team, made in the shape of a swastika …". seems to be the first on daily Blitz .
