Under-20 World Cup, Italy in the round of 16 as a group winner.
Mission accomplished for the National Under 20 team at the World Championships in Poland. In Bydgoszcz, the Italy of coach Nicolato suffers against Japan but in the end he gets the point he needed to win the record of group B.
The penalty parried in the first half by Carnesecchi is decisive, today among the poles instead of Plizzari. It's a key draw to avoid some big names like Argentina or Portugal, challenged last year in Finland in the European final lost to overtime (3-2).
Now on the Azzurrini road, on Sunday 2 June at the Gdynia Stadium at 5.30pm, there will be a third place in a group between A, C or D. Today's challenge for Nicolato was also an opportunity to make a bit of a turn over , both to restore fuel to many protagonists so far and to keep an eye on the 'yellow cards' situation: in fact, 7 players were warned: Pellegrini, Ranieri, Gabbia, Scamacca, Capone, Bellanova and Delprato (source Ansa).
