GENOA – Andrea Masiello leaves Atalanta after nine seasons. The defender is about to sign a contract that will tie him to Genoa until 2023. Atalanta, 2.5 million euros will go. This transfer market operation is not yet official but it is practically all done since Masiello has not been called up for Torino-Atalanta.

Masiello landed at Atalanta in 2011 after being overwhelmed by the storm of betting football when he wore the Bari shirt. With the Atalanta shirt, he knew how to rebuild his career until the historic participation in the Champions League this season.

Before wearing the Atalanta shirt, Masiello played with Bari from 2008 to 2011 for a total of 138 appearances with 4 goals under his belt. Previously, he had played with Lucchese, Juventus, Avellino, Siena and Genoa. So for Masiello, it is a return to Genoa as he had already dressed this shirt from 2007 to 2008 for a total of 19 appearances with a goal under his belt.
