ROME – Francesco Totti has put an end to the case that had been unleashed in the last few hours for an alleged like to an Instagram post where he asked for the sale of Alessandro Florenzi in this transfer window. Totti, from the Maldives where he is on vacation, has updated his Instagram profile to write:
“I'd like to point out that I never liked that bad taste comment about Alessandro Florenzi. I have deep respect for him as a friend and footballer. In particular, Roma fans should know. What I'm reading in articles and on social networks saddens me. Totti ".
What Totti certainly did was to launch a vitriolic arrow at the American property of Rome during an interview with Diletta Leotta for the streaming platform Dazn: "If I were the prosecutor of a 25-year-old Totti? Surely he wouldn't play for Roma – admits the former number ten to Dazn's microphones -. At twenty-five they would already have bought it (laughs, ed).
