ROME – Taison , Shakhtar's Brazilian midfielder, was the protagonist of a gesture similar to that of Mario Balotelli in Verona.
The Brazilian, after being attacked by the insults of the Dinamo Kiev opponents, first showed his middle finger, then hurled the ball towards the host sector from which the insults came. A gesture that cost him expulsion. At that point the 31-year-old Brazilian, who has been playing in Ukraine since 2011, burst into tears as he started toward the locker room and the referee stopped the game. His team mate Dentinho also broke into tears. Both were surrounded by Dinamo players who tried to console them.
Dinamo Kiev strongly condemned the behavior of its fans, also posting a tweet which reads: "Football is not a place of racism #NoToRacism".
