Superlega, Ceferin and Agnelli agree: "It's a fiction, it will not see the light" EPA / Juan Carlos Hidalgo
BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) – "This Superlega will never see the light of day. It is a "fiction" a sort of fiction or dream ". Uefa President Aleksander Ceferin, in an interview with the BBC puts a boulder on the possibility that the European Super-League will see the light. During the interview, Ceferin reiterated how UEFA is working on revising the Champions League: "We have some ideas – he revealed – all I can say is that it is out of the question to authorize this Superlega. Everyone can continue to compete in European competitions: unfortunately, rich clubs often become richer. I think we are one of the few organizations in the world trying to tackle this problem. European football will continue if it continues to remain united, this is our opinion ".
"No discussion on the Superlega": the president of Juventus and Eca, Andrea Agnelli, said this at a press conference in Brussels today. "From the point of view of Juventus and the Eca there was no interview on the super-league". On the same wavelength the president of Uefa Ceferin: "The superalloy – ensures – is out of the question".
