WASHINGTON – The President of the United States, Donald Trump, congratulates the Kansas City Chiefs, winners of the 54th edition of the Super Bowl after the victory over the San Francisco 49ers 31 to 20. And he slips on a colossal gaffe.

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs for the great game and the fantastic comeback, under immense pressure. You represent the Great State of Kansas and, indeed, all of the United States, so well. Our country is proud of you! ”, Tweeted Trump, citing the state of Kansas which, however, is not what the Kansas City Chiefs belong to, since they come from Kansas City, which is located in the State of Missouri.

The presidential tweet was quickly corrected, but the gaffe was evidently noticed, not least because former Senator Claire McCaskill made a screenshot of the tweet censoring the president's geographic ignorance.

During the race, the presence of politics in the presidential election year was also seen in two election spots, one by Trump on his criminal justice reform and one by Michael Bloomberg, a democratic candidate, against firearms. The Super Bowl was also a moment of great show during the halftime: for the first time the two protagonists were two Hispanic stars, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. And of course there was a tribute to Kobe Bryant, the former NBA star who died in a helicopter crash in California together with his daughter Gianna Maria and seven other people.
