JEDDAH (SAUDI ARABIA) – Real Madrid largely dominated Valencia, beating it 3-1, tonight in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) in the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup and qualified for the final on Sunday (19:00). Real moved 3-0 with goals from Toni Kroos (16 ′), Isco (39 ′) and Modric (64 ′).
Daniel Parejo has reduced distances by transforming a penalty for Valencia in the 92nd minute. The Merengue club will face the winner of the second semifinal between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, scheduled for 20:00 in the same stadium.
Spotlight on Kroos, the star of Real Madrid and the German national team scored one of the best goals in the history of the Spanish Super Cup. Kroos, who has a fairy foot, scored directly on the corner (as you can see in the YouTube video at the bottom of the article).
Karim Benzema will wear the Real Madrid shirt one more year until 2022. The French striker has in fact reached an agreement to extend his contract by one year which was due to expire in 2021).
The French striker has just turned 32 and, in June 2022, at the end of the new contract he will have 34 but the club considers him one of the key pieces of the team, as the club president Florentino Perez has repeatedly underlined (source Ansa , YouTube video).
