ROME – At the first of the next Serie A championship on August 25, players and goalkeepers will find important regulatory changes, especially in the penalty area, more attention will have to be paid.
The ball must not necessarily leave the penalty area to start the action . The ball will no longer have to come out of the area before an opponent can intervene: will the idea of always playing the ball starting with the goalkeeper resist pressing down to the small area?
Do it yourself , change it (again) and in a more rigorous sense: any touch in the area with the wide arm will be punishable. However, the opposite is also true: the touch of the arm is a foul, even if unintentional: a goal like that of the Italian in the Champions League that eliminated the City in Serie A will be canceled.
Penalty kick . today on penalties the goalkeeper is free to move but only on the goal line. From now on the goalkeeper will be obliged to keep only one foot on the line. Punishments. No more strikers in the barrier . When an attacking team beats a direct punishment, its members will no longer be able to disturb the defense barrier: they will have to position themselves at least one meter away from the defenders, in any direction.
You can quickly beat the free kick without waiting for any warnings or expulsions.
