Serie A, green light to the five substitutions: now it’s official

ROME – Serie A starts again with the news of the five substitutions per game .

The FIGC has formalized the temporary modification to the regulation proposed by FIFA and approved by the IFAF.

Change made necessary by the coronavirus emergency.

The Federal Council has given the go-ahead for a maximum of five replacements.

Green light to each team in the competitions of the scheduled competitions until the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Furthermore, it was decided to provide that each team can make substitutions using at most three race interruptions, in addition to the interval between the two halves.

Now Italian football can really start again.

The Italian Cup will be the tasty appetizer before Serie A.

The Italian football championship will start again on 20 June while the Italian Cup will be awarded on 17.

Four clubs remain in the running to win the trophy: Inter, Milan, Juventus and Napoli.

The results accrued in the first legs elect Juventus and Napoli as favorites but the qualifying speech remains in the balance.

Ibrahimovic, Theo Hernandez and Castillejo (source ANSA) are in fact disqualified.
