Ronaldinho in misery, on the bank account only six euros
ROME – After the Rio Grande do Sul Court of Justice withdrew his passport to Ronaldinho and his brother Assis, who was guilty of not paying a fine for a building abuse, it emerged that the former soccer star is in misery. At least that's what their bank accounts say in Brazil, UOL Esporte says.
To collect the fine, due for a sentence of 2015 and leavened with interest at about 2 million euros, the Brazilian prosecutor has entered in those accounts, finding – in all – 24.63 reais, the equivalent of less than six euros . Neither mortgaging the property was sufficient to pay off the debt due to the high interest generated over the years. The figure, however, seems incompatible with the standard of living of the former champions of Barcelona, Milan and Flamengo.
In the last two weeks, before the kidnapping of the passport at the beginning of November, Ronaldinho has traveled to China and Japan to fulfill his advertising commitments. Lately he has also been in several countries in Europe and in Africa, as he showed himself on social networks. And Nike has launched a line of shoes that bears his name and that, according to Brazilian justice, should have brought him important revenue.
On November 17th the "Game of Champions" is scheduled in Frankfurt, a friendly match in which one team will be named 'Amici di Ronaldinho'. But at the moment he is unable to leave Brazil.
