ROME – "Scherzetto" of Roma at Inter. The market challenge comes on to reach the Italian national midfielder Nicolò Barella . Inter was sure to take it because he had found an agreement with the player's agent. The Nerazzurri were aiming hard at the player's yes, but they didn't come to terms with Cagliari.

The Italian midfielder took for granted the imminent agreement between Inter and Cagliari because the Nerazzurri had promoted him. And it didn't happen that way.
Barella would never make a rude to Cagliari, which is his favorite team and from which he wants to separate in the most peaceful way possible. So Barella is considering the idea of moving to Rome. If Cagliari were to ask him, the Italian national midfielder would accept without any problem.
For Rome it would be a coup. With this purchase the Giallorossi would give a big signal to the market. Mocking a rival like Inter would be a great test of strength. Barella would be the third hit by the Giallorossi after Diawara and Spinazzola (source Il Corriere dello Sport).
