BOLOGNA – Rogelio Maria Pizzi, a 22-year-old soccer player residing in San Giorgio di Piano, Bologna, died yesterday, Sunday 24 March, at the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna after being taken ill during a second-class amateur league game .

The young, player of the Argelatese Sports Club, felt bad after the match against the X Martiri team and was immediately rescued. 118 transported him to the Ospedale Maggiore but the boy died. Many messages of condolence appeared in the evening also on social media such as that of the National Amateur League in Emilia Romagna, which in a post on Facebook expressed closeness to the family of the 22-year-old, or of the mayor of Argelato, Claudia Muzic: team – he wrote – and to all the friends who are experiencing this absurd nightmare. There are no words only silence and pain ".

A pain shared by the mayor of San Giorgio, Paolo Crescimbeni: “He was a lively boy, active in the parish, always available with friends. I saw him play football in the pitch. It is a serious loss, a great pain – said the mayor -. My thought, in this heartbreaking moment, goes to my mother, father and sister ".
