UTRERA – José Antonio Reyes died this morning in a car accident in Utrera, his hometown. The world of football is in mourning for a player who has written important pages of the sport between Seville, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
In 2004 he moved to Arsenal and with the Gunners jersey he won a Premier, a Community Shield and an FA Cup, the first Spanish player to win the English championship.
Later he played in Real Madrid, winning the Liga. Leaving the Bernabeu, Reyes played with Atletico Madrid and Benfica, again Sevilla, Espanyol and Cordoba before moving to China for a few months, to Xinjiang, and then returning to La Liga with Extremadura, with whom this year has won salvation.

In the last hours, the Spanish media have spread the images of the player's car after the tragic accident where he lost his life. Reyes' car came out completely destroyed by this incident which unfortunately cost the former Arsenal player his life.
Once his death was made known to all, football clubs, players and managers wanted to remember him with emotion on social networks.
Sergio Ramos, who played many games with Reyes between clubs and the Spanish national team, wrote on Twitter: "I'm really upset. I have no words. All the love for the family. We will always remember you, friend! Brother rest in peace ”.
Monchi, his manager at the time of Seville, wrote: "News impossible to believe, impossible to digest, really too hard … José Antonio Reyes rests in peace … What a great pain .. A great left wing is forming in paradise, you with Antonio Puerta ”. Seville also wanted to remember him on his official social channels: "We are baffled by the loss of Reyes, we remember him with love and affection".
