LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND) – The fall of the reigning European champions. Liverpool lost 3-2 at home to Atletico Madrid after extra time and were eliminated in the Champions League round of 16.
The Reds played an extraordinary Premier League but in Europe they disappointed and failed to defend the title they won a year ago.
