MILAN – Renato Coen, journalist for Sky Tg 24, tested positive for coronavirus. For security reasons, the Sky office in Milan was evacuated and all journalists were placed in a state of preventive quarantine.
For this reason, Sky Sport 24 has decided to stop its programming. This was announced by the director Federico Ferri through his official Twitter profile.
“We need to stop for a short time. We do not have our premises, studios, editorial offices, editing rooms, places where all those who make up our team work.
We have a responsibility to comply with safety regulations and to take precautions. These are sanitization works, however, we will be back soon with timely updates ".
Renato Coen, who works at Sky as head of the Foreign editorial team, is currently in good health but the headquarters have been evacuated for precautionary reasons.
Sky Sport 24 stops like the rest of the sports world. The Italian football championship could be permanently suspended after Daniele Rugani's positivity to coronavirus and in the last few hours basketball has also stopped, starting from the NBA.
The European cups, Champions League and Europa League are also about to officially stop. In this scenario, stopping Sky Sport 24 is the most appropriate thing.
