Pellegrini first, then Zaniolo: Roma’s plan to arm them

ROME – Rome has clear ideas for the coming seasons. His real market hits will be the renewals of Lorenzo Pellegrini and Nicolò Zaniolo, young promises that clubs across Europe like.

The priority is Pellegrini because Zaniolo already has a long contract (although he will still be extended and adequate in his salary).

At the moment Pellegrini earns 2 million euros per season, plus bonuses, until 2022 and has a termination clause of just 30 million euros which makes it extremely attractive to the eyes of the big names in Italy and Europe.

Roma's goal is to remove this termination clause. But to do so, he must convince the player with an extension of the contract and above all with a conspicuous increase in the seasonal salary.

Pellegrini would like to move on 4 / 4.5 million euros per season. This figure would place him near Dzeko and Pastore among the highest paid players of the yellow and red squad.

Rome is willing to make an economic sacrifice but would like to pay it slightly less.

This is the reason why an economic agreement has not yet been reached between the parties but Rome will do everything to close this contract renewal before the summer.

Also because Pellegrini's termination clause would be exercisable just next summer. The footballer would like to remain in the yellow and red but obviously he would like to do it to a congenial figure.
