ROME – Argentine defender Nicolas Burdisso retires:

"Today, 19 years after my debut, it's time to close my adventure as a player – wrote Burdisso on Instagram – Thanks to all those who have accompanied me on this path, to God and my family, to the comrades and to the teams, coaches and especially fans. Football is my tool to be happy and improve every day as a person and will continue to be so. I am proud and satisfied, I did everything I dreamed of as a child ".

Burdisso won with Boca two championships, three Libertadores and two Intercontinental.

With Inter the Argentine defender won, in five years, four championships, two Italian Cups and four Supercups.
