NAPLES – In the end the white smoke arrived, Kostas Manolas is a new soccer player for Napoli. The agreement with Rome had already been reached for some time, the one with the Greek agent Mino Raiola who arrived a few minutes ago was missing. The Greek will earn 4 million net per season.
From a formal point of view, Manolas will be purchased by Naples through the payment of the total 36 million payout clause, 33.3 will go to Rome and 2.7 to the player, but in reality De Laurentiis will take it for 16 million euros by inserting in the negotiation the Amadou Diawara tag that will go to Rome for 20 million euros.
I repeat, from a formal point of view they are two separate operations but in fact Manolas cost the Naples 16 million euros plus the Diawara card. This is not the only Napoli purchase during this transfer window because the Campania players will soon formalize the arrival of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.
For its part, Roma has just taken Spinazzola thanks to a market exchange with Juventus. The Giallorossi paid ten million euros to the Bianconeri's coffers, adding Luca Pellegrini as a technical counterpart.
Roma also made progress for Nicolò Barella from Cagliari. At the moment, the Giallorossi are ahead of Inter for the champions of the Sardinians. Roma offered Cagliari 35 million euros plus the card of the former Sampdoria Defrel striker.
The Sardinians prefer this offer to that presented by the Nerazzurri and at the moment Inter is not willing to raise its offer. The Nerazzurri bet on the agreement they reached with the player's agent.
The negotiation is still open to every solution but at the moment Roma is ahead of Inter. The Nerazzurri want Barella after having already bought Sensi from Sassuolo.
