The former rojiblanco striker died at the age of 81. Jones is one of the mythical figures of our club with 129 official matches in a team that will always remain in the memory of our fans.

Miguel Jones joined our club in 1959 from Indautxu at the request of Fernando Daucik. Jones made his debut on 18 October of the same year in a game against Granada at the Metropolitan stadium.

Jones has distinguished himself as a great striker who, thanks to his physical prowess and his versatility, could be considered a joker for Atletico coaches.

So, given his qualities and his excellent physical condition, he could be seen playing as a striker, winger, midfielder and even central defender.

Jones played eight seasons with Atletico Madrid's shirt . His highest moment was his goal against Fiorentina in the Cup Winners' Cup final won in 1962.

Society huddles around the pain of all its loved ones. "
