Mauro Zarate sues Lazio for 3.3 million euros in arrears

ROME – Lazio was cited by the ex Mauro Zarate for 3.3 million euros in arrears.

In the approved financial statements as at 31 December 2019, there is talk of wages, but also of the arrears requested by the ex Mauro Zarate, which Lazio does not intend to pay. Cittaceleste.it reports it:

"In January 2020, a quote from Pluriel Limited was notified to SS Lazio Spa for the amount of Euro 3,287 thousand, as the sum resulting from the difference between the compensation of Euro 3,750 thousand due in the 2013/2014 Sports Season and that of Euro 463 thousand received for the period 01.07.13-14.08.13, on the assumption of the responsibility of Lazio in the termination of the contract with the footballer Zarate.

Given that both the arbitration award and the judgment of the Court of Appeal of Rome have excluded this liability and on the basis of the opinion of its lawyer, the Company believes that no further significant liabilities may arise to be recorded in the financial statements ".

Mauro Zarate played in Lazio from 2008 to 2013 with a small parenthesis with the Inter shirt.

Zarate played a total of 126 games for the Lazio shirt, scoring 34 goals. In these five years in the capital, Zarate has contributed to the conquest of two Italian cups and an Italian Super Cup.

On the Zarate bulletin board, there is also an Under 20 World Cup won with Argentina, two badges, won in Argentina, and two Argentine super cups.
