LISBON (PORTUGAL) – The world of football is mourning the death of Maurício Hanuch at the age of 43.
The former Argentine footballer has played mainly at home but in Europe he is known for his experience with the Sporting Lisbon shirt .
Hanuch played in Portugal from 1999 to 2003 and was also the teammate of a very young Cristiano Ronaldo.
Before he died, Hanuch revealed some anecdotes about the current Juventus striker.
According to what Hanuch said, Cr7 was always the first to show up for training.
Baby Ronaldo was already a perfectionist and only left the training ground after correcting every mistake.
Hanuch was remembered fondly by Sporting with the following press release.

Our former footballer died today, at the age of 43, after having fought for a long time against an incurable disease.
We hired the Argentine footballer in 1999, together with him we managed to win a Portuguese championship.
Hanuch began his career at the Club Atlético Platense in Buenos Aires and there he also retired at the age of 32.
