BERGAMO – Atalanta no longer has coronavirus positive players.
The same Nerazzurri company announced it through a press release after Marco Sportiello recovered from the coronavirus after 44 days of illness.
“ Marco Sportiello , subjected to two consecutive swabs within 48 hours, was negative at Covid-19.
The footballer, as per the health protocol for Covid + professional athletes , will carry out all the tests in the next few days and can subsequently resume individual physical activity ".
In this way, all Nerazzurri players will be able to return to training in view of the resumption of the championship which should take place between late May and early June.
Recall that the individual trainings of the Serie A players have started again from May 4th while the team ones will start again from May 18th.
Atalanta has to get back in shape because it has a fourth place to defend and the chance to win the Champions League in its first participation.
The Nerazzurri are fourth in the league , three more on Roma with one game less than the Giallorossi and with direct clashes in favor .
In the Champions League, Atalanta easily eliminated Valencia by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the top European club competition.
