Lazio, Immobile won the Golden Shoe, the top scorers and equaled Higuain’s record

Now it's official, Lazio's Ciro Immobile has won the Golden Boot, the Serie A top scorers and has equaled Higuain's record.

Party at Lazio not only for the return to the Champions League but also for the individual successes of Ciro Immobile.

The center forward from Campania won the Golden Boot, it's an extraordinary feat because only two Italian players had managed before him, Toni and Totti.

Immobile has not only won the Golden Boot but also the title of top scorer in Serie A.

But the center forward from Campania has done even more. With his 36 goals he hooked Higuain, the record holder of the most goals scored in a Serie A season.

If Immobile had scored another goal, he would have overtaken Higuain and would have become the absolute record holder for goals scored in a Serie A season.

The Golden Shoe is a trophy that has existed since 1967 but in all these years only three Italians have managed to win it. Before Ciro Immobile, Luca Toni did it with Fiorentina in 2006 and Francesco Totti with Roma in 2007.

So the last Italian to have won the trophy before Ciro Immobile was a footballer, Totti, who played in a team in Rome.

Then by winning the trophy, Immobile brought back the Golden Shoe both in Italy and in Rome but this time on the biancoceleste side of the Tiber.
