GENOA – Lazio are anti Juventus. The biancocelesti have been eliminated from the cups and can prepare every championship game in the best way. This is the small big advantage they have against Juventus which however has a deeper squad.

Today Lazio played well in Genoa and won 3-2 with merit but, as is clear from the final result, they conceded more than usual to their opponents because they paid dearly for the absence due to injury of their defensive column Francesco Acerbi. The victory allows Lazio to return to minus one from Juventus while condemning Genoa to the relegation zone.

Lazio took the lead at the first lunge. Marusic slipped between the two central defenders of Genoa and beat Perin with an incomparable touch. Then Genoa hit the post with Favilli and suffered the 0-2 goal with the usual Ciro Immobile (climbed to 27 league goals).

When it seemed all over, Genoa returned to the game thanks to a Eurogol from Cassata who found the intersection of the posts with a turn on the fly with his right. Shortly thereafter, Lazio scored the third goal with a great free kick by Cataldi and took the 2-3 on a penalty kick.

Criscito made no mistake from eleven meters. In the final minutes, Genoa poured into the Lazio penalty area but was unable to find the draw. The rossoblù are still out among the applause of the home fans.

The Genoa-Lazio scoreboard 2-3.
