Koeman was rushed to hospital for heart problems and a stent was implanted

AMSTERDAM (HOLLAND) – Emergency hospitalization for heart problems for 57-year-old Ronald Koeman , Dutch manager and former national team defender.

Koeman, the Telegraaf writes, was transferred to the coronary therapy department of the hospital in Amsterdam, where he was implanted with a cardiac stent.

The emergency hospitalization, complete with an ambulance with sirens explained , was confirmed by both Koeman's manager and his wife Bertina.

The speed of hospitalization and the doctors' intervention allowed a re-equilibrium of the conditions of the Dutch coach, who is conscious .

Ronald Koeman is a football coach and former Dutch footballer, defending role, technical commissioner of the Dutch national team .

European champion with the Netherlands in 1988 and finalist in the 2018-2019 UEFA Nations League .

He is the first Dutchman to do the double both as a footballer (1988 and 1989 with PSV) and as a coach (2002 with Ajax).

With 253 goals in 763 official matches he is considered, among the top leagues, the greatest defender-goleador in the history of football.

In Italy he was nicknamed Rambo .

During his career as a professional footballer, Koeman has played in the Netherlands (with Groningen, Ajax, Psv and Feyenoord ) and Spain (with the Barcelona shirt).
