TURIN – The elimination of Juventus from the Champions League came to the rescue of the Lega Calcio Serie A which will be able to move the Turin derby , initially scheduled for Saturday 4 May, to Friday 3 May. At first, the Turin derby was scheduled for May 4, the day of the 70th anniversary of Superga. This decision of the Lega Calcio Serie A had sent the Turin fans and the grenade company on a rampage.

Cairo had made it known that Turin would never play on the day of the 70th anniversary of Superga. The situation seemed hardly solvable because the derby was placed on May 4th due to the conjunction with the semi-finals of the Champions that could have seen the presence of Juventus.
With the elimination of Juventus from the top European club competition, the problem no longer arises and the derby can easily be moved. Tomorrow the official transfer of Juventus-Turin to Friday 3 May should arrive.
