Juventus, Higuain at the River Plate? Not before 2021 …

BUENOS AIRES (ARGENTINA) – Gonzalo Higuain has returned to Buenos Aires to spend the coronavirus quarantine with the rest of the family.

His escape from Turin sparked a sea of controversy because the Argentine center forward interrupted the mandatory quarantine period, following the coronavirus positivity of his teammates, to return to his relatives in Argentina.

Higuain would have relied on the permission previously granted to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is spending this period of isolation in his luxury Madeira villa in Portugal.

After Higuain, many other footballers have left Turin to return to their homeland. Miralem Pjanic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Douglas Costa and Sami Khedira have left Italy.

Juventus did not like Higuain's behavior and would like to sell him in the next market window but this will not be possible without an economic sacrifice by the Argentine footballer.

On him there is the strong pressing of the River Plate but the transfer market negotiation is complicated by the fact that Juve still has the Pipita budget for about 18 million, which the Argentine club should pay.

River Plate does not have these financial resources and cannot even grant Higuain the Pharaonic salary that Juventus guarantees him.

In short, the deal will only be possible when Higuain is available again on a free transfer.

But this is not enough, to sign with the River, Higuain will also have to lower his salary.
