Juventus, Buffon admits: “I cheered Inter, that’s why”

TURIN – Gigi Buffon is considered by all to be a Juventus flag because he played 18 seasons with the black and white shirt. In the middle, a small parenthesis with the Paris Saint Germain shirt.

Gigi Buffon has been supporting Juventus since he was four but there was a small period in which he passed, at least from the point of view of cheering, to Inter's rivals. Why did he do it? Buffon himself explains this in an interview with ' A casa con la Juve ', the new format of the Juventus club's thematic channel.

The declarations of the Juventus goalkeeper are reported by corrieredellosport.it.

“I tell you that as a child my excursus as a fan was particular: for 4-5-6 years I was super Juventus player and I fell in love with Giovanni Trapattoni because he whistled.

I supported Juve but I saw Giovanni Idol in my idol. When he went to Inter I hesitated, also sympathizing a little for Inter.

Then I returned from there and started cheering the provincial teams: Pescara, Como, Avellino. Then at 12 years Genoa dragged me into this life as an interested fan. Then all this in the end makes you understand how important figures are as a child, my idol was Trapattoni ”.
