ROME – Novara beat Pisa 3-2, Cagliari went to Chievo against Verona (1-2) and Sassuolo won with a 2-1 win against Catania. These are the results of the Italian Cup matches on Wednesday 5 December.
Thursday instead will be played Genoa-Entella (at 18) and Turin-South Tirol (at 20.45).
The second round will be played on January 13th. Here is the temporary board :

- Fiorentina against the winner of Torino-Sud Tirol
- Rome against the winner of Genoa-Entella
- Juventus-Bologna

The quarter finals will be played on January 30th, the semi-finals on February 27th and the final will be played on May 15th.
In the quarterfinals the crossings will be: the winner of the first eighth (Milan-Sampdoria) against the winner of the second eighth (Napoli-Sassuolo), the winner of the third eighth (Lazio-Novara) against the winner of Inter-Benevento, the winner of the fifth eighth (one between Fiorentina, Torino and Sud Tirol) against one between Rome, Genoa and Entella and, finally, the winner of Juventus-Bologna against the winner of Atalanta-Cagliari.
In the semifinals the winner of the first quarter against the winner of the second will be crossed. And the winner of the third quarter against the winner of the last quarter-final.
