MILAN – Good for Antonio Conte. The former Juventus coach made his debut as Inter coach with a convincing victory against Lugano, a Swiss team that will begin its season in a week's time. Despite the opponents were decidedly ahead from the athletic point of view, the Nerazzurri dominated the race and granted the flag's net to the opponents to the game almost over.
Waiting to embrace the new striker (both Dzeko and Lukaku could arrive), Antonio Conte has deployed his first Inter with the 3-5-2 with Samir Handanovic in goal; D'Ambrosio, De Vrij and Skriniar in the three-man defense; Candreva external right, Gagliardini, Brozovic and Sensi in midfield, Perisic left exterior and the young Longo and Esposito in attack.
Inter came a little off in front of us without heavy players but of great quality in midfield. Waiting for Barella, who will be the owner in midfield with Sensi and Brozovic in place of Gagliardini, it is these latter two that gave the show with wonderful goals and played at the highest level.
The Nerazzurri took the lead thanks to a Eurogol from the new signing Stefano Sensi . The former Sassuolo player beat the goalkeeper with a long-range shot that ended his run under the crossbar. Nothing to do for the opposing goalkeeper.
The doubling of Marcelo Brozovic was practically the photocopy of Stefano Sensi's network. Even the Croatian midfielder scored with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that gave no chance to the opposing goalkeeper who didn't even move. An interplay of phrasing and quality is being born to the delight of the new coach Antonio Conte.
