FLORENCE – Fiorentina was one of the Serie A teams most affected by the coronavirus.
Beppe Iachini was also infected with the coronavirus.
This was stated by Rocco Commisso during a direct broadcast from the United States through the official Fiorentina channels , on the occasion of his first year as a purple president.
"Even our coach has been sick in recent months, I did not know, he has all my support" – said the Italian-American tycoon.
As for the possibility that Iachini can still lead Fiorentina next season has taken time:
"We have to see what will happen in this championship final.
Iachini has impressed me so far, he has done a good job, but now I am telling him and the players to focus on the next races.
I am averting but there must be no bad jokes.
We have to stay in Serie A after which we will plan the relaunch for the future season ".
The Italian Serie A football championship will start again on 20 June.
But before Serie A there will be a tasty appetizer with the Italian Cup.
The Italian Cup semi-finals will be played on 12 and 13 June while the final will be played on 17 June in Rome.
The Italian Cup will be the first Italian trophy to be awarded during the coronavirus (source Ansa).
