ROME – Gian Piero Gasperini has won the 2018-2019 gold bench for the Serie A, the recognition that is assigned by the coaches to the best coach of the season. The Atalanta coach beat the competition of Massimiliano Allegri and Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Gasperini got 22 votes out of the 49 who expressed their preferences among the technicians in Coverciano. Following the most suitable was Sinisa Mihajlovic: the Bologna coach, who received the special prize of the technical sector, obtained 13 preferences. Six votes for the former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, winner of the last two editions of the award.
