ROME – Serious mourning for the Cagliari flag Gigi Riva. Sister Fausta died at the age of 82. Riva's sister had been sick for a few months but in the last few hours her health had deteriorated. Fausta died in her home in Legnano. Riva was very close to his sister, Fausta has always spent words of praise for his brother during the interviews he released to the press.

Gigi Riva is a sports manager and former Italian footballer, role-playing striker, honorary president of Cagliari. European champion in 1968 and vice-world champion in 1970 with the Italian national team, of which he holds the scoring record with 35 goals.
Considered one of the strongest Italian players of all times, as Wikipedia writes, he occupies the 74th position in the special ranking of the best players of the twentieth century compiled by World Soccer magazine.
Flag of Cagliari, the club in which he spent almost all his career, in the 1969-70 season he contributed to the victory of the only championship in the rossoblù history, graduating on the occasion for the third and last time top scorer of the championship.
He remained tied to the Sardinian club even after his retirement, he briefly assumed the maximum charge in the 1986-87 season, and from 2019 he holds that of honorary president. In the middle, from 1990 to 2013 he was team manager of the Italian national team.
